VitiVini is the only game of its kind to offer an entire course on wine, wine tasting, and food-pairing. Players do not need to know anything about wine to have fun playing the game. For only $24.95, customers get a full course on wine, a fun game, and a great reference tool for general wine knowledge, cooking and food pairing.Below is some of the press coverage that this novel game has received.
Last week I was perusing Wine Spectator's gift ideas when I came upon a new wine-based card game, VitiVini. After visiting the VitiVini website
, I found that the game is basically wine trivia, with questions from various aspects of wine (grapes, regions, history, etc.).
As they put it, "an entire course on wine and wine statistics into a fun game".
On the bottom of the homepage for the game is a link to signup for the chance to win the game for free.
Being a true competitor in all things that require no effort other than providing an email address and
my name, I gave it a try. After a few days of trying and not winning (as you can tell, I expect to win
these type of deals), I gave up. The Wine Spectator crowd, of which I was a member, had obviously found
this offer and were all giving it their best shot.
But then, a couple days later, I gave it another shot. One last try for the gipper (truly heroic, I know),
and I won. An early Christmas present was on its way.
Once I receive the game, I'll subject my fiancee and friends to a few rounds of wine questions (with a few rounds of wine, of course)
and let you know how it plays out. Should be a fun way to get everyone up to speed on the world of wine.
A card game called VitiVini, which educates you on wine regions, history, how to make wine and
how to pair a particular wine with food. The catch is, the only stores in which the game is available are in New York
City and Raleigh, N.C. A better bet might be online, at http://www.vitivini.com.
VitiVini ($20), www.vitivini.com While none of these wine-related games is going to replace Monopoly,
they do offer a fun change of pace for the enologically inclined. The best new wine game we came across this year is VitiVini.
The directions and object are simple enough to grasp yet there is a small amount of strategy required, as well as some luck
(beware the Wild Cards), plus, there's coins involved, and everyone likes playing with money. Most importantly, the game has
its facts straight and every turn allows the player to choose a difficulty level for the questions, making it accessible for
novices and experts alike. - Robert Taylor

Trivial Pursuit is child's play. Our new favorite trivia game is Viti Vini ($20, www.vitivini.com).
The game features question cards about all things wine-related: grapes, regions, production, history and food pairing.
Ascot and smoking jacket not included. You must feel 35 or older to play.
One of the best ways to learn about wine, if at all possible, is to actually visit the place where it is made,
talk to the person making it, and then drink lots of it. Now, for most of us, that's not really in the cards. But here's what is-VitiVini.
This is a cool new card game that is part trivial pursuit part sommelier exam and that aims to teach you all about wine. The makers have
put an entire wine course and stats into the cards with three different levels of difficulty in a range of topics from grapes to region,
wine making, history and food pairing. It's a cool gift for wine lovers. VitiVini is $19.95 and it's sold online at www.vitivini.com and
www.wineenthusiast.com. Have fun. And when you can, go stomp on some grapes.
